WHR Property Consultancy has secured a 10 year letting for a 200,000 sq ft warehouse in Bury for its client, toy distributor, Sambro International Limited. Situated only a mile from Bury town centre, the stand alone building, known as Dumers Point, is owned by Scottish Widows and was previously occupied by Birthdays Ltd.

Mike Rooney, partner at WHR, comments: "Over the last 12 months, we have been involved in some of the most significant industrial transactions to have completed in the North West including 180,000 sq ft letting to Royal Mail, 200,000 sq ft acquisition at Salmonfields, Oldham and a 350,000 sq ft disposal at Manor Park, Runcorn. Our intimate knowledge of the market means we have a number of new active requirements and have just been instructed to acquire a new 90,000 sq ft facility on behalf of an East Manchester manfacturer."

Mr Rooney continues: "Large enquiries are definitely coming back to the market and whilst there are currently good opportunities for potential occupiers out there, there is a finite number of buildings available at these competitive terms so tenants need to act quickly or else be forced to go down the Design and Build route, which will ultimately result in a quantum leap in rental levels."
